The ark shell is a boat shaped shell which washes up on the beach and is said to resemble the ship built by Noah. The story describes how God decided to send a great flood to cleanse the earth of corruption, sparing Noah and his family and a pair of each animal species. This story is found in the Hebrew Bible, the Christian Old Testament and the Quran.
